Shooting
The
national and international shooting associations are confronted with the
problem of soil pollution by using conventional clay targets. Most
of the times these targets are not made of clay, but of various compounds
as asphalt and bituminous substances which contains environment unfriendly
elements such as polycyclic aromatic carbons.
After
many years of research LIREKO (Holland) has succeeded in producing a clay
target out of nothing else but clay, the LIREKO eco-clay target.
lt is a payable, environment friendly target with excellent ballistic proporties.
Using a special production process, the clay is equally divide when rotated
in a mould, we guarantee a optimum straight flight. The LIREKO clay target
is composed out of no less than seven different sorts of (real) clay, from
several countries. Once they have been used, the remains fall apart into
clay again. lt is like bringing a new soil layer on the ground without
any effect on flora and fauna. The remains of the clay target don't smell
and fall apart after a few showers.

The
LIREKO clay target obeys to all the demands of V.R.O.M. (Dutch ministry
of people's welfare and environment) put in "Bouwstoffenbesluit" (a legislation
for (re)use of building materials concerning soil an groundwater protection).
According to two different qualified laboratories, the product stand up
to all standards.
Chemical
research and a leakage test has been conduct by a certified laboratory
TAUW-milieu, Deventer (Holland). When required we can send you a copy of
the research report (30 pages).
Experience
The
shooting range "Waalsdorp" The Hague (Holland) are since may 1998 fully
supplied with LIREKO clay targets. This shooting range is situated in a
nature reserve in the dunes at the Dutch coast. In 1998 several shooting
ranges followed and with LIREKO clay targets they were actually allowed
to organise competitions again.
In
2000 the first delivery in Germany at Shooting Range Retter in Gaildorf.
Shooting
ranges in the North of Europe have shown much interest in our product.
Product
LIREKO
clay targets are produced in Germany with a estimated production of 60
million pieces a year. The targets do fit in most of the throwing devices.
